"My son recently spent 4 1/2 weeks ..."

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My son recently spent 4 1/2 weeks in the TreeHouse Unit in Rainforest, with a broken femur.

I cannot give enough praise to all the staff within the childrens ward. The play staff are an invaluable part of the team who really help alleviate boredom and frustration in a two year old boy who wanted to be up and running around!! the nursing staff were friendly and very proffessional and always had a moment to talk with Connor and make him feel happy and cared for! The healthcare assistants were also superb members of the team who were always willing to help at anytime.Connor did not really want to go home as he kind of felt really at home there (although he is very happy now!!) He constantly talks about members of staff from the ward as they were all fantastic.

The wards were always kept clean and hygienic and the cleaning staff were friendly too, always taking a moment to say hello to my little one.

The standards of healthcare and nursing in the TreeHouse are very high!!! Something I hope is always maintained!!

Not only were all the staff great to my son, but as i stayed there 24/7 while he was in, i was always treated very well.

I could not have asked for better care for my son!

What could be improved

I could not think of anything that would have made our stay in the Tree House better.
