"It was good that the nurse took the trouble to ask about my overall health"

About: Harmoni / NHS 111

(as the patient),

I called the 111 service late one night following problems with my catheter. The person who answered took all my details and then found a night nurse on duty. The Nurse called round to see me about an hour later and changed my catheter. She asked how I was feeling in other ways – she was concerned about other things she had noticed and came back twice to monitor my blood pressure.

I’m fine – but it was good that the nurse took the trouble to ask about my overall health and came back to check everything was OK.

I am really pleased to see your posting that clearly demonstrates that NHS111 works seamlessley with the District Nursing teams across London to support callers to remain in their own homes.
