Husband is diabetic. He collapsed at home and was taken to ward 1 (AMU) for assessment. Doctors and nursing staff took good care of him (ward 9).
He was registered partially blind. Right eye completely blind - left eye disciform scar (drops and laser treatment). Right eye - rebeotic glaucoma assocate) with central retina artery occlusion. No sight.
He was found to have very little hearing, so has started with hearing aid. The Princess Royal could not have done any more, also Shrewsbury Hospital, the audiologist (at Oakengates) most thoughtful.
Dr Nolan advised him to make appointment for test for hearing. The audiologist, Balpreet Dhillon fitted aid and advised him to persevere. Return in 6 months.
"Staff were most thoughtful"
