My brother died there in June, it was unexpected by me because I had been reassured by a staff member that he was doing much better but I also know that this does happen. My complaint is that it took them approx. 24 hours to notify me of his death, I live in the USA and they had my phone number but did not call me. A Grief Counselor finally called me, thank you, I guess things have changed from when I worked as an RN in the UK.

Thank you, June, for taking the time to give us feedback about your brother’s care at what we’re sure is still a difficult time for you. We are sorry that it took longer than is expected for you to be informed about your brother’s passing. Our staff make every effort to inform a patient’s next of kin as soon as possible following a death, however sometimes they encounter problems in making contact, especially when the next of kin lives overseas.
