"I found the ambulance staff rude"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as a friend),

After holding a meeting re my friends calls to the ambulance service re her shoulder regularly dislocating, we had need to call the ambulance.

We waited 2 hours and then when they arrived, they were quite rude to both myself and my wife, They were querying what was said at the meeting and were asked why could we not take her after we'd been told to call the ambulance each time.

The team were 2 paramedics, one female and one male. The female had been rude to us on previous visits. We then had to call the ambulance again several days later and she arrived once again this time. She could not have been more helpful. It was almost as if something had been said to her.

Dear tigger49

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am so sorry to hear that the Trust did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I sincerely hope that your friend is making a good recovery.

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust values all the feedback we receive, as the Trust is keen to learn from incidents where expectations are not met, to ensure improvements can be made to the service we provide.

In order for this incident to be investigated we would require a little more information from you. Could I please ask that you contact the Patient Experience team on 01392 261585, who will then be able to launch an investigation into the events.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Kind regards

Laura
