"Exemplary treatment for fractured hip"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a carer),

My wife tripped over in the kitchen and fractured her hip. She was taken to Heartlands Hospital where she was assessed and admitted on the Saturday. On Sunday she was operated on.

The treatment whilst in was exemplary, and was allowed home after 5 days. Further on from this she was booked in for a throat operation at the same Hospital. This time on an overnight stay, and once again received first class treatment.

The Doctors and Nurses do a wonderful job, sometimes under very trying conditions. A few more nurses would help.

Dear Moselle

I am delighted by your email, the team in the Emergency Department and Trauma and Orthopaedics team have worked incredibly hard over the past months and to have such a lovely feedback is heart warming. I will pass this onto them and I hope your wife is recovering well after the two surgeries.

kind regards

Iona
