I was forced to cancel my out patients appointment 24hrs before i was due to attend due to my mobility issues.Having tried 6 times through out the day to get through to the given number i decided to ring the main switch board and i explained the problem to the male operator who seemed very helpful and having given him my reasons for not being able to attend informed me that he would pass this on to the Dermatology department as soon as it was less busy. I thanked him and also asked him to explain that i would require another appointment booked, i was informed this would be done and the hospital would be in touch. I have now received a letter informing me that i am no longer under the hospitals treatment and that i have to now refer back to my GP. My long awaited treatment plan is now in turmoil because of a break down in the Hospital communication set up. Not happy
