"a fractured ankle"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

Whilst on holiday I slid down a wheelchair ramp, dislocated my ankle and broke three bones. After being flown in by helicopter I ended up at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. I was there for ten days and had two operations. The experience was very positive. I could not have received better treatment. The place was exceptionally clean, the staff friendly and efficient and the medical care outstanding. The OT and Physio staff were also excellent. I came away knowing that I could not have been in a better place and I wish to thank all the staff there for their kindness and hard work. We hear much about the failings of the NHS but not so much about all the good things that go on from day to day.
