(as the patient),

I went to A&E at East Surrey hospital last Thursday with severe chest pain and ended up staying on AMU overnight.

Every member of staff I came into contact with - doctors, nurses, tea ladies, catering staff, cleaners, everyone - was wonderful. I received great reassurance and excellent treatment from all.

The night staff had a lady with some difficult issues to deal with, and showed boundless reserves of patience and care to her, whilst still making sure the rest of us were looked after.

The hospital was very clean as well. East Surrey has received a lot of complaints over the years and I felt that it would be good to pass on a compliment for a change.
