"Excellent major trauma care"

About: University Hospital Aintree

Anything else?

My son was admitted to resus in the early hours of 6/9/13, unconscious following a fall onto concrete. When we arrived at the hospital we were shown into the relatives room and the consultant told us what was happening and promised to update us as and when anything new emerged. All staff were fantastic, professional yet with a lovely personal touch both for Paul and for us. I would add though it was unnerving to see organ donation posters in the relatives room, that scared me a lot. Later he was transferred to the Walton Centre ITU for a few hours, again the care was exemplary. Once he was well enough he was again transferred to the Major Trauma Ward and received the best of care there too. Fortunately Paul has made a good recovery but this is in no small way thanks to the dedicated hardworking lovely staff at this hospital. Thank you all. Very best wishes, Barbara.

We're very pleased to hear that your son was well cared for by our teams and that he has made a good recovery. Thanks for taking the time to send this message, which we'll pass on to the staff involved. We've noted your comments about organ donation posters and we'll share these with those staff who are responsible for promoting awareness of organ donation. Thank you.
