About: Royal Bolton Hospital

Anything else?

My mother was treated swiftly in the opthamology department after suddenly losing her sight in the left eye. She was seen by a Consultant and doctor within 36 hours, she attended with my sister both of whom were extremely impressed by the treatment she received. I attended the follow up appointment 1 week later and was equally impressed by the care my mother received. Whilst she was understandably concerned both the Consultant and doctor helped by taking the time to ensure my mum fully understood her condition, treatment and prognosis and they did so with great kindness, accuracy and personality. My mum felt reassured after leaving her appointment and so did the rest of the family. each memeber of staff with whom we came into contact in the department displayed excellent interpersonal skills. thank you. This must have been a worrying time for your family, so it is good to know that the staff were able to reassure as well as give good treatment. Thank you very much for letting us know and for sharing with other people via this website.
