About: Royal Preston Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I liked the fact I was given an appointment time promptly. Administration staff were pleasant and polite.

What could be improved

The time allocated to patients at outpatient clinic. 10am appointment - delayed 1.5 hours. 2 minutes allocated for each patient (published)

Medical staff reading the notes on the patients.

Informing the patient of problems with future treatments.

Keeping the treatment, particularly when not specialist, in the local hospital and not expecting you to travel, by public transport, to another hospital which would take 2 hours each way.

Not discharging a patient because they are unable to attend a day-care appointment due to prior engagements when they had no idea they would need to keep 4-6 weeks free to do this.
