Anything else?
I was sent to NMGH A&E by my doctor there was some confusion when I got there with my letter but that was sorted. I waited in A&E and was seen by a Dr. and sent for scans and X rays. On the whole the staff were very good, it was busy as you would expect. I did feel somewhat awkward on over hearing Drs moaning about GP referrals (I was one) but I didn't want to be there I had got up intending going to work that day. As mentioned most of the staff were very good but one or two would do well to remember they are the face of the NHS and to smile and acknowledge patients goes a long way ( we can all have off days) . I don't want to sit listening to Drs moaning and other staff saying how awful things are?. Scans resulted in me being move to the Emergency Assessment Unit . The staff here again under pressure all very professional and reassuring . During my time on assessment I felt we'll looked after. Out now awaiting results. Just a note there was an incident where drunks in A&E set off a fire alarm just to add to the pressures and abuse they already have to deal with. Porters were all cheerful and doing a great job again very busy but never short of a smile.
