Anything else?
I was on ward 19 as a day patient. Extremely nervous as never had any surgery before and even though it was a minor op under local, the team were great, from the nurses on the ward on arrival to the great guys who looked after me in theatre turning my tears on the operating table to laughter as they took my mind off what was going on. I really appreciated that. On coming out of theatre I was given a much needed cup of milky tea which was like nectar not having had a drink since 10.00pm the night before! On my arrival back on the ward one of the nurses offered me more tea, orange juice toast or biscuits-thoroughly appreciated all the patient care/advise/support as I was absoloutely dreading it.....why? Thanks to the team on Ward 19,consultant/surgeon and theatre team I did not need to at all. Thank you. :-D
