My wife had been on the Gynaecology waiting list for five months and the day came to go in to hospital. She was sent a letter asking if she could come in later that day, which she did, and on the day received a phone call tell her to come in in the morning for blood tests, which didn't happen until late afternoon! Finally she was taken to the prep room out side theatre and was just about to be administered an anesthetic when the nurse said they couldn't proceed with the operation as the previous patients operation had complications and they had run out of time for more operation that day. She was dichard and told to come back tomorrow for the operation. The next day at 9am the hospital phoned and said that the list was full and no operation that day either and they would be in touch. This is appalling the way they treat patients. Beware!
