Anything else?
Recently upon arriving and sitting down with a lady to talk about my sons sight whom had seen a spealicist up to the age of 5 with a bad squint and eye sight. He also has DS and his attention is poor. I asked if we could have a second pair of glasses as my son often throws them out the car window when on the move. Her response was one of shock. "We dont have to supply children with glasses just because he has downs syndrome. Its a favour. Other countries dont give children glass's." I took this personnaly as my child despite having DS has problems with seeing, like any other child that might have sight problems, isnt this the very reason we pay into the NHS. I have not lodged a complaint as my follow up appointment the staff couldnt be nicer. Sadly its always one that lets the side down.
"A very rude comment made"
