"My mother was brought in by ambulance ..."

About: Royal Preston Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My mother was brought in by ambulance and all the staff and medical team could not have been more helpful. They were working under pressure with too few beds. Yes we were in the corridor some of the time but were constantly looked after and it was difficult for the nursing staff to do their jobs properly because they were shuffling everyone around every time a bed became free. It meant in terms of time and motion they were repeatedly having to expend energy on the same tasks. This was in A&E then in medical assessment they were very professional and my mother was kept clean and comfortable at all times she unfortunately died within 48 hours but I think she was cared for right to the end by a lovely team of people. Well done and thank you.
