How can a major hospital loose a patient? My dad was transferred to the royal Blackburn from pendle community hospital. We were told to go to medical admissions. After arriving there at 9.30 a.m was told he's not here yet to wait. So we waited and we waited, 2 hours later still no dad and nobody knows where he is, receptionist was next to useless more interested in joking with colleagues. Even main reception didn't know where he was. I should mention here that dad is an 82 year old pensioner. Finally 3 hours later out of pure frustration we checked at a&e who were as upset as we were that this had happened and they tracked him down to resus where he'd been since 9.30 so at the time when he needed us we were wondering round trying to find him, thanks Blackburn nice job. Must say massive thanks to staff on resus for looking after him and also nursing staff on medical assessment.
