"I have never been able to speak straight away to a staff member"

(as a service user),

I am relatively new to the stoma prescription service. However, I have never been able to speak straight away to a staff member, I have to leave a message for them to call me back.

This is ok if you are at home all day for the return call but I have a full time job and cannot afford to stand around.

Why don't you have the EMIS system as my doctors surgery. Place your order with them and it is delivered to wherever you need it.

Dear Argon862, thank you for your posting on Patient Opinion, we really appreciate your feedback on the Stoma Prescription Service.

We do appreciate how frustrating it can be to hear an answer phone message. Unfortunately the telephones are always busy as we have almost 2,000 people who use our service. However we are currently reviewing the way we organise the workload and we hope to implement an overflow telephone line enabling the team to pick up more calls.

As a service we do offer SystmOnline which enables users to request their repeat prescriptions online. When a prescription request is received the prescription is generated and sent to the patients chosen pharmacy or delivery company. If you would like to try this option please let us know and we will provide you with a security password.
