Anything else?
I was admitted recently for a Total Knee Replacement and was fortunate enough to have an amenity bed in the Cobham Clinic. I was a little apprehensive having been very disappointed with the care I had received on Ward 22 during a previous admission, but I need not have worried as the care I received was excellent. I found all the nurses to be very kind and caring, and my bell was always answered promptly. I am due to have the other knee done in a few months and I shall certainly request a bed in the Cobham Clinic again. I would also like to say what a good experience I had during the surgery, I had a spinal anaesthetic with sedation rather than a general and my only memory is of feeling warm and comfortable throughout, I would not hesitate to have the same again. I have just one complaint which concerns a Medical Secretary, I tried to contact her on two occasions and left messages, but on neither occasion did she bother to return my call. I contacted the secretary at my doctors surgery, in the hope that they would have a email address which I could have used as an alternate method of contact, and was told that it was rare for any medical secretaries to return phone calls. If they have no intention of calling back why leave an answerphone message requesting a contact number? Fortunately I was able to obtain the help I needed elsewhere. I have only one
