Anything else?
As expected on a Saturday night, my wait in A&E was very long (over an hour) but I wasn't in any immediate danger and it was a Saturday night. My reason for wanting to leave feedback is in the hope it will make its way to the exemplary staff who looked after me through a painful and upsetting injury. From the person who took my details, to the duty nurse and their staff through to the doctor I was well looked after, treated with respect and kindness but I was so very impressed that their care wasn't limited to patching me up and sending me out the door... They took great care in explaining how to look after my wound and, as it was a facial wound, were very, very thoughtful on making sure I had information as to how to reduce any potential scaring. You hear such bad stories and as I'm thankfully very rarely in A&E I was anticipating a "just another number" approach to my accident... I was blown away by how this team supported me.
"A&E stars!"
