My experience at York Hospital on the 3rd September ,for a cholecystectomy was excellent. From my admission on the day ward ,where the staff were reassuring ,kind and professional, to the doctors, the Anesthetist, the surgeon and my consultant, who oversaw the procedure.and reassured me all the way, from my first consultation. My hero! I was prepared for my operation in a sensitive manner and was treated with respect.. The overnight stay on ward 16 had excellent staff where I felt their care was exceptional. Also to witness the nursing care of other patients in the ward filled me with confidence. The discharge room where I was offered a welcome drink of tea , whilst waiting for my lift home was great care right to the end.
