About: North Manchester General Hospital

Anything else?

Today I had another appalling experience at the hands of Pennine Acute Hospitals. I had an appointment at 10 am. Was I on time? Yes I was; I arrived at 9.45 am. Did I get seen on time? No, of course not. My appointment was for an ultrasound scan of my urinary system. Therefore, I had been required to drink a large amount of water before I came in so my bladder was full. By the time I was seen I was in agony. The doctor who did my scan was extremely lucky that I didn't urinate all over her. If you miss an appointment they discharge you. If you turn up late they criticise you. But, they don't have to keep appointments no matter what effect that's having on the patient. The entire board should be sacked as this trust needs to be seriously better managed. To PALS: please don't waste your time commenting on my review by asking me to get in touch. From my experience all you will do is tell me lies and make false promises. I am seriously considering making the journey for any future hospital appointments to services outside this trust.

We are sorry to read your comments regarding your visit to the ultrasound scanning department at North Manchester General Hospital. Appointment delays are unexpected and cannot be helped, we try to our best to see patients at their scheduled times but this does not always happen. We are also sorry you feel you will visit other services outside our trust.
