I have recurrent corneal erosions and needed a help with medication and discuss other treatment options. The meds I use don't help, gp can't prescribe any, so I had to visit ophthalmology clinic. Waited for an hour to be seen by a doctor, who only saw me for 5 minutes. Doctor got offended, that I asked a question. Didn't listen at all to what I had to say about my condition. I had a few questions, but he answered none. No new medication was prescribed. Told me to use the current meds for another 2 weeks. He thinks my condition will improve after those 2 weeks. Although I had it for the last 5 years and it is only getting worse. I am extremely unhappy. Came home and cried for the rest of the day. I have no useful medication, no other options of treatment, except an excruciating erosion in my eye. And then doctors complain that people use internet to diagnose or treat themselves. How can we not, when nobody bothers to provide proper help!!! P.s. I asked whether I could get bandage lens, he said I can't use one. Didn't properly explained why. Though I know for sure I can use it. Probably will have to look for one myself.
