"urgent care centre and ward 8 (sau)"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

I've long had severe health problems that require trips to the hospital from time to time but on the last 2x I've been very unhappy with the way that this once great hospital has turned into a chaotic mess. First I went to the ucc which the staff were help full and respectiful and very professional but I was admitted to ward 8 at the Lri, I was put in the day room to wait with a room full of sick people as there was no beds available 11.00pm after a 3 hour wait finally a bed was available but not any linen.here I had my obs checked then I was left for 6 hours I wasn't even offered my regular medication even though I requested pain relief on 5 different occasions. In the end I didn't feel safe in there care so I left the ward and went home to care for myself as I thought this to be the best way forward. I'm sure the staff are helpful when they are not rushed of there's feet like that but I do hope I never have to set foot in that awful place again.
