"The secretarial and admin staff ..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The secretarial and admin staff are fighting the front line battle. They are courteous and polite and try to help where management and poor policies have failed.

What could be improved

The cleaners do not clean. The staff do not come to buzzers. They do not wash their hands. They seems fed up and have no interest in working in this profession. Moral and training needs to be improved. Cleaners put up wet floor signs but didn't clean. In 3 days the bathroom wasn't cleaned once. My father had to urinate on the floor as he couldn't get out of bed and no one came to the buzzer and no one until I got there cleaned the floor. The standards are terrible.

The Trust would like to apologise for such a lack in professionalism. We take great care and pride in jobs done and clearly a breakdown has occured in the care and attention given. This matter will be looked into and action will be taken to ensure that cleanliness, hygiene and moral are improved. If you wish to contact the Trust directly to discuss any concerns please email is at: contact@elht.nhs.uk

Thank you
