"A&E treatment of fall at home"

About: North Manchester General Hospital

Anything else?

8.45 pm had fall at home, arrived hospital 9.25 pm, left in cubicle until 1.12 am saw a doctor. used Stethoscope on my back, conclusion broken ribs, 1.18 given prescription drugs, told to go home use ice and rest, 1.25am got to reception wanted transport to get home, Receptionist unhelpful, she was sat in the dark in her fleece, didn't want disturbing, told her I was a pensioner and no mobile no money and in my pajama's "tough" attitude left hospital at 1.37pm doctor who treated me passed me went into car-park! It was cold and late took me five hours to walk home 5.9 miles on my crutches. Took my painkillers went to bed, 11.30am woke up with severe stomach pains, looking for a cause looked into my prescription drugs given by hospital, no instruction or side effects leaflet inside any of the boxes, went on line to look up the medication given, One medication should not have been described because of my intolerance and allergies to some medications.. Conclusion I was put in a position of severe vulnerable situation and outcome could have been so very different, still in pain and discomfort. Will never again relay on the NHS
