"treatment at Maxillofacial clinic"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

Had an original consultation on 2 July 2013. Appointment half hour later but had been advised that there had been a medical emergency and that there would be a delay. Offered an appointment for extraction for two days later, but, due to a family commitment had to turn down. Finally went 4 September for a tooth extraction. Only had to wait ten minutes. The room was unlike a dentist surgery. No sign of instruments etc., they were all 'hidden' away under a covering behind the examination chair. The dentist was extremely informative, and allayed my fears (does anyone like going to the dentists!). Throughout the proceedure both the dentist and the nurse re-assured me, and asked me if I was alright. After the extraction, I sat for a few minutes to 'recover' and was given all the instructions for post care. I can only thank the dentist and the nurse for their kindness and consideration. I hope this comment can be passed on.

Dear reviewer, It is great to read your comments about such a positive experience with our experienced team. We have passed your comments onto the dentistry staff, who have shared this with the wider divisional teams. Kind regards Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
