"I was left to struggle to get walking aid into the back seat"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Community Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

The Rehabilitation Team kept me informed of progress regarding ordering my walking aid. When it arrived it was adjusted to my height.

It is very comfortable when walking but no one seemed concerned that I could not fit it into the boot of my car. I was left to struggle to get it into the back seat, which was quite painful for me.

I hope I can adjust to that in time.

Overall, I am grateful for the help and the loan of the walker.

I am sorry to hear that you struggled to get the equipment into your car. From your comments changes will be made when the team issues walking equipment to clients and we will in future ensure that we extend the assessment to include demonstration of the best way of transporting the equipment, as a standard point.

If you are continuing to struggle please do not hesitant to contact the Jubilee service and we can review the equipment and/or give advice on ways of transporting the equipment
