"Process was very practical, objective and scientific, which was right up my street!"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

I came along to one-on-one therapy sessions with Inclusion Matters following a referral by my GP.

I had been diagnosed with severe depression and was willing to try out anything to overcome it.

To be honest at first I was slightly cynical about CBT and how useful it would actually be. However, I found the whole CBT process to be very practical, objective and scientific, which was right up my street!

Jeannette, my therapist, was excellent throughout. She was mindful of my other commitments, but knew exactly when to give me a "push" to stop me avoiding situations during the week.

All in all very useful and CBT has given me renewed confidence and plenty of material to work on in the future.

Thanks!

Dear Wild 788

Thank you for your comments.

I am so pleased that you have found a renewed confidence since having your sessions with Jeanette. It sounds like CBT was just right for you and I am delighted that you decided to give it a try despite your initial cynicism. I am sure that this feedback will help others who may feel unsure.

I really hope you continue to feel the benefit of having had CBT from using the materials.

Thank you again for your comments and I will ensure that Jeanette knows about this.

Kind regards

Heather
