"Long wait for appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I originally saw my doctor back in July regarding an issue with my eye.

The appointment with the specialist is for early October.

Long wait!

Thank you for responding. I am sorry that you are having to wait longer than expected for an eye appointment. We are unfortunately experiencing long waits at present for appointments at our local hospitals for some specialities, one of which is ophthalmology

TRAQS aims to give patients informed Choice which enables patients to choose whether to wait longer for an appointment at a local hospital or to travel further for an earlier appointment. We appreciate that it is not always possible for patients to travel further to enable them to be seen sooner but will do all we can to assist patients in making their Choice. Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my comments. The appointment I have taken is at a hospital around 20 miles away as the wait time was less than the local hospital.
