"Admission away from home"

About: Manor Hospital

Anything else?

My husband was admitted to Warsall Manor Hospital in the early hours of Friday 30th August. He is a Hgv driver and was working in the Cannock area when he developed a sudden onset of right sided back and flank pain around the kidney area. He was admitted via A&E and then transferred to Ward 11. As we live in Swansea in South Wales it was very daunting for him being so far away from home but the nurses were marvellous and assured him he could use the ward phone at any time. By the time I got up there to see him I think the nurses knew all about me ... He had told them I was a nurse also in Swansea ha ha. I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff on Ward 11 they were really caring and very professional to all the patients on the ward. The ward was immaculate and very well run, buzzers were answered almost immediately. I just want others to know this is a great hospital with hard working staff and credit where credit is due Ward 11 is a top team. Many thanks from a grateful wife
