I was an out-patient in the A&E department as I had terrible pain in my foot and was convinced it was broken. When I arrived a lovely and very helpful paramedic man gave me a wheelchair as I could hardly walk. Arrived at reception, receptionisr took some personal details, waited in the waiting area, much to my amazement I only waited about 15 minutes before I was called for examination. I was then called for my x-ray, the wait was also only took bout 15 minutes, then I was called for the results of my x-ray and the waiting time for that was roughly the same time. Pleased my foot wasn't broken, but lots of tissue and nerve damage, so still lots of pain but I was advised to do lots of resting. Overall the service, staff and cleanliness of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital is incredible. Surprised I was not given padding or crutches to ease the impact of walking when I need to get round my home though.
