My husband recently was treated on the cardiac ward after an emergency admission and was treated promptly by both the ambulance and paramedic service and ultimately by Bedford Hospital. All the staff were very caring and all the procedures including tests and the fitting of a stent were carefully explained and performed in a professional as well as efficient manner. We hope the departments that are at present on the site at Bedford remain as it is easier to attend this hospital both on public transport and by car from where we live. the follow up services provided by the cardiac team have been superb and we have every confidence in them too.
