"Superb service on A & E and Murphy Ward"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

Anything else?

I was admitted from the air ambulance to A & E for a fractured ankle. I was given gas and air whilst waiting to be seen but still seen promptly. The service in a&e couldn't have been better - all the staff from the cleaner to the doctor were so friendly and willing to help - Thank you to everyone. I was then tranfered to Murphy ward waiting for my operation to pin and plate my ankle. The staff on there were lovely and so hard working. Unfortunately it is under staffed but they did their absolute best to see to everyone. They were lovely with the older ladies - showing lots of respect for them which was a pleasure to witness I thought the food was good and I have no complaints there. The ward was clean and tidy at all times. The physiotherapists were patient with me and do a very good job of assessing peoples capabilities. The whole process couldn't have been better and I thank everyone for all their help and kindness.
