After choosing to have a hip operation in the London Independent on the NHS choices scheme, I was very unsatisfied with the after care that my father in law received. He was discharged too early and had no after care package in place. This led to great distress for all the family seeing my father in law struggle to get up and down out of chairs, let alone the stairs. Since the operation he has been admitted to the royal London hospital twice and is now under going a longer stay to have another operation as the hip has came out of the socket. He is suffering immense pain and distress due to the decision of the hospital staff releasing him too early.
