"Referred by 111 service while visiting a relative"

About: Warrington Hospital

Anything else?

I arrived at 6.3am, Thursday 24 July 2013, having contacted 111 following a night of blood and blood clots in my urine. I was seen immediately then by the A and E doctor who did the tests to rule out what they could, indicating that it may be an unusual complication of long standing condition. She contacted my GP to ensure that he referred me asap to a consultant. I was kept informed at all times of what was going on etc and that it needed urgent attention by a consultant-which I have had and has ruled at our variety of nasty possibilities. Ongoing story. I was impressed by the speed and efficiency of the whole organisation and while not intending to have cause to go to A andE on my next visit to Warrington, would feel very comfortable knowing they are there. Thanks to Warrington A and E especially to the lady doctor who attended me-she was outstanding
