Anything else?
My dad who was 85 suffered with dementia and was discharged in the middle of the night to the wrong address without any contact from the hospital to his daughters. There are three daughters with mobiles and home numbers not one of us was called. We were on standby in case his condition changed. Within 36 hours Dad had to be admitted back into hospital very ill. We told the ambulance staff to take him to a different hospital, not Queen Elizabeth. We have gone through PALS, after admitting their failings we are now making a formal complaint. I do feel for the over worked staff, but to send an 85 year old to the wrong address in the middle of the night, then back to QE, then back to the correct address is extremely poor. Update to follow.
