"Painful smut in eye after visit to steam railway!"

About: Kidderminster Hospital

Anything else?

After a day at the Severn Valley Railway I made the reluctant decision to stop at the Minor Injuries Unit before going home, after a smut went in my eye and I couldn't get it out. It was very painful and I was worried about infection. Even though I arrived at the end of the normal working day, staff at the Unit saw me promptly and put me through the system very quickly. In all I was in the building for no more than an hour, and at all times I was treated courteously and with great care. I am not from this area, but wish I was, if it means recieving treatment like this when a crisis happens! Well done everyone, especially the young male nurse who fast-tracked me.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. I will pass this on to the Charge Nurse involved. I’m delighted he was able to resolve your problem and hope it did not spoil your memories of the Severn Valley too much.
