Today I visited A&E with chest pains. The staff were exemplary. They were polite, courteous, helpful and informative. I was nervous and worried, and as this was my first time in an A&E anywhere, I was put at ease by the staff and informed of each and every step taken in my care. Whilst waiting for results I observed the staff interaction and how busy everyone was. Yet they remained professional and focused throughout. At one point I felt somewhat forgotten, however the sister noticed this and I was consulted by a Doctor in a short time. To conclude: Having never been to an A&E before, I was surprised and thankful that it was nothing like I had expected. Professional and courteous with full information at all stages of my care.
