"getting to the wards"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

Anything else?

we arrived sunday afternoon to visit a relative on the 5 floor, found the only way you can get to any of the floors is by lift, no good for my wife as she cannot go in lifts as she cannot tolerate confinded spaces, no access by stairs as these are pass card only, this caused my wife much distress, as the relative we had come all the way to see has terminal cancer, had to try and hunt down security to gain access to stairs, in the end one of the cleaners escorted us up to the 5 tfloor, as security could not be found, not impressed at all, ward was hot and dismal, staff scarce on ground, relative had two drain bags, folded over under her sheets, what use is that!!, these bags should hang from side of bed, so when full a passing nurse can see them and get them changed, if they are under a sheet, they will be missed!!, if this is the best you can offer, god help the worst
