Anything else?
I have been coming to this hospital for years and each and every single time I have left feeling horrible. Mostly out - patient appointments but a few inpatient, including A&E. This particular time ( last year) I was admitted the childrens ward ( i was 16 at the time) following an overdose. The second day I was given a liver treatment infusion I was okay for about 10 minutes and then started to feel my chest clogging up and I was having trouble breathing I told a nurse who just put my bed lower and then left me, I then threw up and about 3 nurses came, my parents later realised that the treatment I was on can cause a reaction to people with asthma which they failed to ask if I had it before doing the infusion I felt this was very negligent and I wasn't impressed. I also feel that the nurses react horribly to people with mental health issues I was made to feel like a waste of space and time. In 2011 I was also in the childrens ward and I heard a few of the nurses talking to each other saying 'oh she doesn't need to be up here' and just couldn't wait for me to be out of there. I felt even more helpless and worthless then how I already felt. Another incident happened in the cardiology department I cannot go into detail on here but I will be reporting. I do not recommend coming to this hospital.
"Awful, awful experience"
