1st Admission -stroke. 2nd admission stroke?? Tumour-brain after scan. Wait 5 days for decision contact Nottingham / Sheffield. Further scans and wait 5 days for interpretation? Patient and friends getting agitated! Patient sits around all day confused. Why the waiting???? With only one relative living away they don't seem to be hurrying!

I am so sorry; your worry and frustration is evident - please could you contact linda.higginbottom@ulh.nhs.uk with some more details so that she can look into the issues you have raised?

Sometimes there is a need for additional opinions or consultations - the key factor here is that you were not kept informed or reassured and we need to ensure we share with staff how important this is.

I hope everything got sorted in the end but please accept our apologies as I can only begin to imagine the worry at the time.
