"Absolute great care"

About: Colchester General Hospital

Anything else?

Having been admitted with an alcohol overdose i was treated with the utmost respect and transferred to the Assesment Ward and on to the Langham Ward. I had the best care and time spent but found the ward generally understaffed! The Nurses werer running on auto power and never stopped. You need more staff. Your nurses and Drs. are wonderful, truly, but please help them. Sandra Croome

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive. In the past four years, the number of qualified nursing staff in post at our Trust has increased by more than 100 and the number of consultants by 16. However, we have identified a need to further increase the number of nurses we employ, due to the increased demand on our services and the higher number of sicker patients, and so we are actively recruiting and hope to see the effect of these extra nurses soon. Meanwhile, we have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards
