To the midwives of East Surrey hospital

We arrived at 5am this morning for one of the most stressful and life changing moments. We were met by Lisa Jones and Fran Mongardini who were wonderful. Caring and knowledgable. They knew what was going to happen 10 minutes before it happened and they were right - "my wife could do it"

We were then handed over to Mandy Morgan who checked over our new son - she was thorough and sensitive in how she did it as if it was one of her own children. She even sorted out for us to have his tongue tie looked at 15 minutes later which we were worried about.

We can't thank you enough for your support and guidance and hope this ensures you get some recognition for the wonderful work you do.

I am responsible for everything to do with facilities, estates and IT. This includes our £50m building programme, food, cleaning, estates, porters, telephones, IT, transport, car parks and anything similar. Also leading our new Patient Experience Programme.

We have a very bust maternity unit with nearly 4,500 births every year so its really good to hear that you received such personal service from Lisa, Fran and Mandy and I will ensure that your comments are shared with them.
