"Total hip replacement and nursing care"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

In view of recent damning stories in the press regarding hospital care I felt compelled to write about my experience in ward 7 at PRI last week.

I was admitted to the hospital for a total hip replacement and remained there for five days during which time the care I received was exemplary. Every single member of staff on that ward and in theatre was kind, caring, professional and efficient.

Excellent teamwork was obvious and despite being constantly busy nothing was ever too much trouble. The cleanliness of the ward was outstanding and the vigilence of every member of staff in observing hygiene procedures was fantastic.

I felt totally safe in their hands.

I could not recommend ward 7 more highly, thank you!
