"Minor hand injury"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

Anything else?

I recently experienced treatment at the minor injuries clinic, the Margaret Duncombe Ward and a minor surgical operation under local anaesthetic which involved a small skin graft to a deep cut on my finger. Throughout all of this I was consistently impressed by the cheerful professionalism of the staff at all levels in this hospital. Everyone went out of the way to be helpful and considerate. I felt any small concerns and queries I had were taken seriously given a considered response. Even when tired (or tried by the rudeness of another patient), staff remained pleasant attentive and focused. I also witnessed very kind and respectful treatment of more elderly and frail patients.

Dear Ms Johnson, thank you for the positive feedback that you have provided regarding your treatment whilst under the care of the hand surgery team of Queen Victoria Hospital. We are very grateful for your kind comments and we have passed them on to the Minor Injuries Unit and nursing team on Margaret Duncombe ward. We work very closely with our clinical and nursing teams to ensure that all possible options are considered where possible prior to surgery, including patients in this process and ensuring that they are involved in any decsions made. Where surgery is required our teams are focussed on care and compassion in order to make any time in the hospital as comfortable as possible.
