What I liked

Dear Sir,

I am writing to contact you exactly one year to the day since i underwent a third ventriculostomy at Hull R.I. The procedure was carried out by the surgeon, and i was looked after by the hard-working staff on Ward 4.

Looking back, I have to say that the operation has been the making of me, and that I am back in work, restored to my full capacities. I don't think i realised at the time how ill i had actually become, but all i can say is a big thank you to the surgeon and the team on Ward 4. If I can ever be of assistance, perhaps in reassuring anybody about to undergo the procedure, I will be only too glad to oblige.

Once again, thank you all for giving me my life back.

Firstly we would like to apologise for the delay in responding to the opinion you posted on this website.

Positive comments are welcome and we have ensured that yours have been passed on to our colleagues at the hospital trust and will ask that your comments are passed (albeit belatedly) to the staff involved.

NHS Hull is the organisation responsible for deciding how money is spent on local health services (also known as commissioning), ensuring those services are of high quality and meet local needs. Therefore, we are very interested in all feedback both positive and negative. We have passed your views on the commissioning department of the PCT. Their responsibilities include monitoring the contracts we place with other NHS services and feedback from patients assists them in this process.
