"Can't thank the staff enough"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

Thank you for saving my Husbands life and making his stay in hospital as comfortable as possible. The nursing staff were kind and thoughtful and helped my husband during his confused state. The respiratory practitioner was excellent as was the doctor who did her utmost to reflate my husbands lung. When we decided to leave due to my husbands deterioration in his mental state we were treated with respect and everything was done to make it possible. He is doing well at home and very grateful for all your efforts. The only criticism was the quality of the food. The food is so bad that patients health deteriorates due to a lack of home cooked food. Living on jacket potato and ice cream as everything else he tried tasted was not pleasant.

Thank you for taking the time to post this compliment. We are very glad to hear that you and your husband are doing well and I will make sure the respiratory team knows about your thank you message. I am sorry to hear that your experience of the food during your stay was not to your satisfaction, it is unfortunate that we were not aware of the issues at the time as we could have arranged to see you in hospital to ensure that your husband received meals that he could enjoy. All of our patient menus are agreed with both company and trust dieticians to ensure they are nutritionally balanced and we endeavour to ensure our food is of a high quality. We will bear your comments in mind, and thanks very much for your feedback.
