Anything else?
On Monday 15th July, I went through a procedure where a biopsy was taken from my prostrate in the X-Ray Dept. After the procedure I noticed that I was bleeding due to the procedure and was admitted via A & E to Ward 20 where I was treated with fluids. The next day the bleeding had stopped and I was discharged to go home. For me this was the first time in my life I had stayed in hospital and to be truthful I have always had a fear of hospitals due to Father having spent many years in hospitals. My treatment throughout was exceptional and the care and compassion was excellent. During the last year it seems to be the television and papers are always putting down the hospitals and sadly that has included Milton Keynes. So this is why I have emailed you to say Thank You for looking after me. I could go into more detail if you wanted about my experiences throughout my stay and would be happy to do so. As I said all the staff that I came across treated me with care and compassion, but two staff I would like to bring to attention. The first is a nurse from the team that took my biopsy. He had a very calming influence and when he found me back in the A & E after the procedure stayed with me for a short time even though he was due to go home. The second nurse worked in Ward 20 and although all the staff that I came across within that ward were excellent, she spent some time with me and realized I was apprehensive about staying in hospital. If you would like me to write to anyone else, I would be happy to do so.
"Excellent Service"
